Living Expenses

The cost of living in Albania is low. Living expenses differ from location to location.

Rent per month:

For one-bedroom apartment in the city, you can expect to pay about –euro-130.00-279.62130.00-279.62€; and outside city centre you can expect to pay 90.00€ to 167.62€

For three-bedroom apartment in the city centre, the average rent per month range from 200.00-500.00200.00-500.00; and for outside centre, you can expect pay between 150.00€ and 300.00€.

There are 3 ways of getting around Albania: Trains, buses and Furgons/minibuses.

Getting Around by Furgons

In Albania, Furgons are most commonly used. Furgons are small, privately-run minibuses. They carry about 8 to 20 passengers at a time. They are considered the fastest and convenient way for travelling around the country, though do not have any fixed schedule. 

Getting Around by Buses

Buses in Albania are easily available and cheaper. You are required to pay the fare en route. 

Travelling In and Around by Trains

One can travel in and around the country by Albanian Railways (Hekurudha Shqiptare). You can book the tickets in advance. This way of getting around is comfortable.

Getting Around by Taxis

Taxis are easily available in Albania. They are yellow in colour and generally posses a meter.
